With so many Tools and Resources available on the Interweb, how do you decide what works best?
I would suggest trial and error on your own, however, that could lead to frustration. If you scour the web for reputable Web Resources, you’ll find a lot of Recommendations for both Free and Premium tools.
I’d like to break that down for you a little bit. The below resources are ones that I use on either one of my websites and stand behind the product. I would never recommend a product to you that I didn’t approve of.
Note: Some of the below may be Affiliate links, which means I will receive a small referral fee when you sign up.
If you’re going to have a Professional Blog or a Website, you’re going to need a reliable Web Host. I’ve used quite a few and came right back to where I started with SiteGround. SiteGround is faster than many of the other popular Web Hosts out there! They can handle a lot of traffic! This was one of the issues I had with two (2) other reputable hosts. Your site is safe with Hack Protection and Account Isolation! If you ever have questions or need help, their Support via phone, chat, or email is Superb! Not only does SiteGround offer several plans to fit your needs, at $3.95 per month, you just can’t beat it. Oh, I didn’t mention downtime. Wait, I forgot! I with SiteGround. There isn’t any downtime! By all means, Please Do Not Use GoDaddy as your Web Host. If you hire me for Web Design and you are hosting on GoDaddy, I will refuse to work on your site unless you transfer to another host.
I am a previous customer of BlueHost. As a matter of fact, I started out with them as my self-hosted Website provider. However, I switch because I saw cheaper services elsewhere. Although it didn’t pan out as expected, my “host hop” lead me to find SiteGround and I haven’t turned back since.
But hear me out! I’ve partnered with Bluehost and am “test driving” their shared hosting. So far, all has been good. So, I decided to add Bluehost as an alternative web host to SiteGround. Please be sure to sign up for my newsletter and you will be notified of my actual review.
You have your Web Host and your Domain, now you’re going to need a website/blog Theme! If you’re using WordPress, which I highly recommend, I can not recommend using any other themes than those that are built on Genesis Framework by Studiopress. Genesis Framework combined with a Child Theme is the easiest way for you to beautify your website and customize.
Although Studiopress is not the only one who offers Child Themes using the Genesis Framework, I have found two other highly recommended feminine resources for you.
Don’t let sharing to Social Media be a burden on you! With HootSuite, you can manage over 35 of your favorite social media platforms in one simple application! You can schedule updates, streamline your workflow, add teams members to assist, create analytical reports, and reply in real-time!

Other helpful tools I love
Not only is Grammarly a Grammar and Spelling Checker, it also checks for Plagiarism. I have been using Grammarly for over 2 years now. I started out with the Free Chrome Extension, loved it so much, and upgraded to Premium. I use it for help in proofing my novella’s, blog content, and even at my full-time job. One can never have enough help when it comes to correct placement of comma’s and semi-colons. 😉
This is one tool that I will never go without. Definitely worth using, especially if it’s Free!
If you have a website or a blog, you’re going to need images. Royalty Free images! DepositPhoto’s is a subscription paid based photobank. If you’re not sure that you will benefit from using DepositPhotos, you can always check out CanStockPhoto which offers similar plans for Royal Free images. However, Attribution is required for usage of images.
